On Friday, March 4, 2016, Yokohama-Kawasaki International Port Corporation (YKIP) was designated by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transportation and Tourism (MLIT) under the Port and Harbor Law as the port operating company carrying out integrated operations of the container terminals at the Ports of Yokohama and Kawasaki.
